About Us

Gorilla is an Emmy nominated post production facility in Merrion Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. We manage our client’s entire post production needs from edit, grade, VFX, audio post and finishing.

Since our founding in 2009 we have grown rapidly, expanding into bigger offices in 2014. Word gathered fast about the quality of our work. In 2018 founder Barry Reid was nominated for an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing” on an animation series produced by Amazon Studios in USA.

Our reputation has grown along with our client base. Disney, Amazon, Netflix, Nick Jr, BBC and many of Ireland’s leading production companies all pass through our doors on a regular basis.

Gorilla Post is a core team of 7 dedicated editors, musicians and audio engineers. Our personal approach allows us to fully focus on our clients needs and guarantees we deliver quality at all times. Thanks to our vast pool of trusted freelancers we also regularly hire extra staff as required. Foley artists, offline editors, VFX operators. We have you covered.

Barry Reid

Barry Reid Audio Engineer & CEO

Barry is CEO and founder of Gorilla Post. An audio engineer by trade he still regularly applies his 15 years audio experience in the studio on a daily basis. In 2018 he was nominated for an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing” on an animation series produced by Amazon Studios in USA.

His work on an animated series “Jaker’s: The Adventures of Piggley Winks” by Mike Young Productions in 2004 was also nominated for an Emmy award in the category for “Best sound editing in Live action or animation”.

Along with mixing for the likes of Disney, Amazon, Nick Jr, BBC and Ireland’s independent sector Barry is also Gorilla’s acting MD. This means he is constantly engaging and liaising with Gorilla’s clients ensuring 1st class post production services are provided at all times.

Mark Fitzpatrick

Mark Fitzpatrick Audio Engineer

Show Bio

Mark joined Gorilla Post as senior audio engineer in 2018 and brings with him over 20 years experience working in high-end TV broadcast. In Entertainment and Lifestyle genres his mixing credits include some of Ireland’s most popular shows such as “Dragon’s Den”, “First Dates”, “Ireland’s Got Talent”, “Ireland’s Fittest Family”, “Operation Transformation”, “Goggle Box”, “The Restaurant”, and award winning sports documentaries “ROG – The Ronan O’Gara Story” and “Micko” (Mick O’Dywer).

 In Film and drama Mark’s ADR credits include “Game of Thrones”, “Viking’s”, “Ladybird” and “Mr. Mercedes”.

Shane O’Toole

Show Bio

Shane has worked in the audio department at Gorilla Post since 2012. A versatile all-rounder he is skilled in all areas of audio from sound design, ADR & voice recording to final mix and delivery.

Having been a keen guitarist since 9 years old, and having previous experience working as a foley artist in New Zealand, Shane applies the same level of patience, attention to detail and above all creativity to all his work.

Oleg started life as a dentist in Russia before eventually moving to Ireland in the 90’s and getting his teeth stuck into post production ! With over 20 years experience Oleg now resides at Gorilla as senior online editor working on a wide range of TV and animation projects with his happy clients.

Davi Silva

Davi Silva Video Assistant

Show Bio

Davi is an Avid Editor, VFX artist and Colourist who began his career in 1997 as a studio assistant.
Hailing from São Paulo in Brazil, he has worked on many types of productions such as Soaps and documentaries.

Davi now acts as Gorilla’s trusted assistant looking after all rushes, dailies and backups. However, given his vast experience Davi also lends his hand at online, grade and VFX on many of our day to day projects.

Rich Dickerson

Rich Dickerson Composer

Rich Dickerson is a Emmy Award, Cynopsis, Kidscreen and winning music composer based in Los Angeles and Dublin. He is well known for his scoring and songwriting on shows such as Scooby Doo and What’s New Scooby Doo?, Tom & Jerry (Warner Bros.), Club Penguin, Where’s My Water?, It’s a Small World (Disney), Lalaloopsy (Nickelodeon), Julius Jr. (Saban) and most recently Food Truckers (Fremantle). This year Rich was also nominated for a Cynopsis Kids Imagination award for best theme song for the property Om Nom (Cut The Rope).

Michelle Mc Camley

Michelle Mc Camley Bookings

Michelle is the Post Production Producer at Gorilla, managing all projects, liaising with clients for bookings as well as with the engineers and editors to ensure that all projects are on track and run smoothly. She arranges the deliverables and creates the DCP’s for projects when needed. Michelle is a massive fan of the Beatles and the friendly front of house at Gorilla.
