’50 Years: To The Moon and Back’ is a special live event to mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Moon Landing produced by Indiepics.
The program is presented by Aine Lawlor in front of a live studio audience, held from Blackrock Castle Observatory in Cork. The program will feature enhanced archive footage, highlight the Irish contribution to space exploration, and include a musical collaboration between space and Ireland, with some famous Irish musicians singing with astronaut Chris Haddfield.
Guests include Leo Enright and astronaut Cady Coleman who will bring us through the eight-day voyage while Anne Doyle, Eilish O’Carroll and Fr Brian D’Arcy discuss their memories from 20 July 1969 of the moon landing.
