Known best as Kerry’s star forward and play-maker, controversy has always been a part of Paul Galvin’s life on and off the field however. His impressive career (4 All-Ireland winning medals) has been marred by regular disciplinary actions leaving him sidelined for many crucial championship games with Kerry. In 2008 he missed most of the championship through suspension before turning his career around in 2009 helping Kerry to another All-Ireland win and achieving player of the year in the process. In 2010 his luck changed once more and signalled another spell on the sideline through injury but mainly again through suspension. Off the field he also made unwanted headlines in national newspapers for alleged misconduct at work.
This documentary gets up close and personal with Galvin as he shares his own thoughts and personal frustrations on recent events. “Galvinised” is 1 hour in length and was produced by Loosehorse for RTE. John Kelly provided voice over.
